WH: Biden Will Leave Mechanics of Trump Impeach Trial to Senate

The freshly inaugurated president appears to be keeping at arm’s length from the dustup over impeachment, in which Donald Trump was accused of inciting a violent insurrection at the Capitol with a rally and fiery rhetoric on Jan. 6. The House impeached Trump a week later, but has yet to pass the matter to the Senate for a trial.
